I see my life as a fairytale, where I am, Patt Pandava, the damsel in distress trapped in the material world of Northern Virginia. I wasn't always here. I used to live in a beautiful place filled with woods and stars. And occasionally, on the best nights, the aura borealis, people call there Alaska. It is the closest thing to a home I have. My real home though is with the stars. For now though I am trapped in a light polluted area. I plan to leave one day, unfortunately I have an ongoing battle with myself. My heart wants to travel, to see the world and experience life. It wants me to keep moving and adventuring. My brain however keeps pushing for me to go to college to be an elementary teacher. It wants me to inspire the youth to love and care for the earth, and for me to see the world through books. What I really want though is to find myself spiritually. I don’t mean religion. I mean balancing my soul, body, and mind. I believe the mind is your connection from your soul to body. I also believe that everyone and every living and non living thing are connected. A lot of us have lost that feeling of connection. I believe we can get it back. I know we need to. Because we lost that connection, the thing that sustains our life is suffering. We abuse what has been given to us. I won't lie, I abuse it as well. I need to stop that, and slowly I am making an effort to stop it. Just like I am making an effort to fix myself. I know I sound like a hippie, or crazy. I get that a lot. My brother thinks I'm overly emotional. One of my sisters thinks I'm a cadged gypsy, the other thinks I'm a fairy with broken wings. That's where I got the name. I'm a little fairy gypsy waiting to be swept off my feet by prince charming.
