Do you know what it is like to be looked at like you're something odd? It happens to me all the time in town. I shy my eyes down and frown. I care about what people think about me, but deep within, through and out my thin layers I will get the gist that I'm my own person, and all that matters should be what I think of myself. I'll treat you with respect, love, and friendship if you treat me with it as well. I can easily offer advice to my buddies, but I won't listen to myself and learn from my own mistakes. This time it's different. My perspective on everything has changed. That whole "I don't give a fuck" attitude doesn't wash with me. You care as much as I care about things.My time is being consumed, by things I didn't expect to consume it. Laughter, concentration, worry, joy. I'm even scared. Decisions need to be made, and I'm half way through making them. I still cling to the past, the friends, all the brilliant memories. People I wont let go of. Ever .Sometimes I still laugh about it all.Those care-free times are what I used to live for. But now, I think it's all changed. I love having a smile stuck to my face. And I know who makes it happen. Time for some new faces maybe? New experiences? But, I'm still true to who I am.
