Music I enjoy all music, with the exceptions of nasty rap, heavy metal, and techno. I particularly like the blues. George Strait is one of my favorites, though country music on the whole is not my No. 1.

Movies Stand By Me and Princess Bride are the top two. Recently, I loved Closer and Sideways. Movies I could watch a million times: Gladiator, Pirates of the Caribbean, Count of Monte Cristo.

Television I don't watch much TV. I did keep up with American Idol last season, though I was sorely disappointed at the end.

Books Private Altars (Katharine Mosby) is my favorite. Recently, I have gotten into reading history. I just finished Self Made Man, which was excellent.

Heroes I have to say that my mom, in many ways, is my hero. I have gotten lost of guidance from teachers and professors. Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz, though she was a nun, is an inspiration.
